“Camp Kids are Kids Chicago was THE perfect break for me. I got to spend a week with new fiends, all which know very well what I am going through. . . . The week was absolutely perfect. I completely forgot I had cancer.”
“My favorite thing about interacting with other campers was that the other kids are all living with similar problems as me, so for once not being ‘normal’ felt normal all week.”
“Camps like these are so important for kids like me because it helped me to remember I’m not alone in this struggle, and we can still have fun and be happy.”
“Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago is an amazing place. There you don’t realize that you are going through bad times. And the best part about it was just not thinking about chemotherapy or doctors or needles, all you had to worry about there was what are we doing next.”
