Our Medical Team will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and will work on the necessary precautions to operate in person again when it is safe to do so. The “silver lining” to this COVID cloud is our ability to serve more families who wouldn’t have been able to attend camp in person.
Here’s how we continue to grow through virtual programming.
We have done Whacky Hat / Hair Breakfast, PJ Breakfast, Whacky Socks / Slippers Breakfast, Backwards Breakfast, and Silent Breakfast (where if you talk you lose your utensils for the rest of the meal!). Themes will generally be in keeping with camp theme.
Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago is an urban camp for kids and their siblings living with and beyond cancer. It is a unique fun dynamic environment where children can just be kids and forget their diagnosis. Full medical support and trained medical professionals are onsite for the duration of the camp.
