Our Medical Team will continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and will work on the necessary precautions to operate in person again when it is safe to do so. The “silver lining” to this COVID cloud is our ability to serve more families who wouldn’t have been able to attend camp in person.
Here’s how we continue to grow through virtual programming.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Change a life today

Each year we seek individuals who can be a positive role model for our campers. Being a Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago volunteer can be a life changing experience not just for our campers but for the volunteers who help children touched by cancer to just be kids again for a week.

A good portion of our volunteers return to camp each year. We’re always on the lookout for more camp staff (volunteer counselors, activity leaders, doctors and nurses).

No position at Camp Kids Are Kids Chicago is guaranteed. All volunteers, new and returning, must complete their application in full by Friday, March 26th for Spring Weekend and Friday, June 4th for Summer Camp.

New applicants that meet our requirements will be contacted for a group interview during the week of June 14th via Zoom. We will notify you of your status within one week from the time of the interview.

All applicants must be available for both the Mandatory Camp Staff training on Saturday, April 17th for Spring Weekend / Saturday, August 7th for Summer Week from 10 am to 2 pm CST for Spring Weekend and for the full program Friday, April 23rd – 25th for Spring Weekend / Monday, August 9 – Friday, August 13th.
